PostHeaderIcon The Golf Swing – The No Arms Drill

For some people the golf swing feels uncomfortable and awkward. For those of you who fall into this category you may want to try this drill until you start feeling better (more comfortable) about the golf swing.

In a previous article (Golf Basics Part 2), I said you should probably be spending less time thinking about what your arms are doing and where they’re going? Once my wrists are cocked, I really don’t think much about my arms.

This golf swing drill consists of practicing your golf swing without using a golf club. Why would anyone want to do that you say? By doing this, you’ll be able to concentrate on the feeling of your muscles coiling up and releasing without being confused or distracted by the movement of your arms. Its very important to master this muscle movement prior to actually hitting a golf ball.

This swing drill is also a good opportunity to practice keeping your feet on the ground. Some beginners tend to raise their left heel (for right handed golfers) during the back swing and their right heel during the follow through. First things first, practice having your front (left) foot roll inward on the back swing and try to memorize that feeling. Take your time with this drill because it can make all the difference in creating that perfect swing.

I particularly like this drill because you can practice it anywhere or anytime.

Heres how we start.

Begin by getting into your regular basic golf stance. You can place a ball down in front of you or imagine where it would be if that helps. Now instead of holding a golf club, cross your arms in front of you so your left hand is on your right shoulder and your right hand is on your left shoulder. Its like giving yourself a big hug!

Here are some important tips:

Try not to do this drill fast or slow

Do it at a steady tempo

Do this drill frequently

Memorize the movements and how they feel

Do these movements without thinking (muscle memory)

Again, the golf back swing starts at the top (your shoulders and arms) and works its way down to your hips and legs. Remember, your head will move to the back but should not bob up or down. It should stay level.

Of course, in this drill you don’t use your arms, so you begin by turning your shoulders. For me, it is more beneficial to think of turning my midsection (Let’s say about six inches above your bellybutton.) away from the target. Now, when you do it this way your shoulders will also turn (automatically). For some, it may be difficult to get comfortable because of the feeling the torque building through your body creates. Dont worry. This is normal and will become less uncomfortable as you practice.

As your shoulders and hips turn, remember to not let your right (back) knee turn outwards (towards the back). This will have the feeling of pushing that knee inwards and/or keeping your body weight on the inside of the back foot. If this is difficult for you, try placing a book (1″ thick) under the right side of your right foot. You will immediately feel the difference.

You should feel your front knee turn inwards and the front foot roll towards the inside but remain on the ground. Take the time to concentrate on this part.

Start from the bottom.

Now that you have accomplished a good solid back swing, this golf swing drill is a good time to practice the down swing. Try to begin moving your front knee towards the target as a trigger to your down swing. Dont start the back swing by moving your arms or shoulders. As an advanced technique, try to start that move (moving your front knee) before the back swing is complete. At the same time, try to get comfortable with that low, squatty feeling.

Turn your hips by thinking about turning your belt buckle to the target. You will feel like your hips are leading the rest of your body. The shoulders will naturally follow as you pivot on your front leg.

You can use this drill to commit to memory, or muscle memory, any movement that isn’t a swing thought.

In a slight variation of this drill, you could start the golf back swing with your arms (no club). Practice hinging your arms at the shoulder and cocking your wrists as your arms cross your chest near the back arm pit triggering your shoulder turn.

And that’s the basics of the golf swing. You won’t get any better unless you practice. If you can maintain good solid mechanics in your golf swing, you will have the beginning to a great game!

PostHeaderIcon The Fundamentals of Golf and How to Improve It!

Looking on the face of it you wouldn’t think that hitting a golf ball into a hole would be that hard but it takes a great deal of skill to do this. To acquire these skills you first need to know the basic fundamentals.
The basics are to hit the ball with a golf club into or as near to the hole as possible. As golf is a competitive sport each time you hit the ball or try to hit the ball is classed as a stroke. The golfer himself keeps a scorecard and records the score at the end of every hole. The game of golf is generally played around 18 holes and the winner is the person with the least amount of strokes at the end.
When the players have teed off and had one shot each, the player whose ball is furthest from the hole is first to play the next shot and so on, this includes play on the green and the fairway. The player with the least amount of sots on the first hole then goes first on the second hole and co on.
The golf tees are used when first teeing off .Generally most people have at least a couple of drivers, irons and a putter as well as balls, tees and a golf bag. On a par 4 or 5 drivers are generally used when teeing off for greater distance. The golf ball must weigh 1.62 ounces and be round in shape, usually balls are marked with a name and number.
Golfing etiquette allows players behind you to play through, as in the case where there are two players behind a group of four. The group of four should always be allowed to play through. This allows the smaller group not to be held up. Also you should always make sure that the party in front are not in danger of being hit.
Make sure you have a good set of golf clubs and wear the right shoes so as not to slip when hitting the ball. Always get your stance right with good posture, get the grip right on the handle. Aim where the ball is going to go, keep your head still and take a full swing always trying to follow through. Keep practicing and try to get a little further each time and try not to tense up.

The Finest Golf Breaks in England – Region by Region

Some thing golfers generally don’t realise when they prepare to book their golf breaks is that the UK has some of the finest courses you’ll ever play. And I’m not just talking about the classics such as Wentworth and Birkdale. Golf has been played in England for centuries and there are a number of thousand courses – pick the proper ones and you’ve got courses which rate alongside the finest in the world. For this article, I’ve divided the country into five regions and listed my favourite course in every to assist you plan a golf break in England. So starting from the north and moving downwards…Finest of the North: The Hunting Course, Slayley HallThe North-East has various lovely courses but Slayley Hill is the one which stands out. Created by Dave Thomas and opened in 1989, the course nearly obtained the 2006 Ryder Cup and has hosted many European Tour events. Plenty of shrubs and trees support make it gorgeous but Dave Thomas has worked his magic to offer a fine challenge in gorgeous surroundings. Slayley Hall has been “The Gleneagles of England” and a golf break here is often a treat.Very best of the Midlands: The Brabazon, The BelfryMoving further south, we have the pride of the West Midlands – The Belfry’s Brabazon course. This course has benefited a excellent deal from a couple of redesigns so it is no longer just “two fantastic TV holes” but is now 18 holes of tough and extremely-well maintained golf. Normal host to key tournaments (such as the Ryder Cup and European Tour), the course is certainly not for beginners – to score well, you’ll want length, patience, excellent green reading and the capability to get up and down much more than once…It’s not by accident that the finest players come to the fore here. The Brabazon at The Belfry is a course that attracts tourists from all over the world to the UK for a golf break. The Belfry Hotel wedding packages are also worth looking at if you’re thinking of that.Greatest of the East: Royal St. GeorgesMoving East and, unbelievably, pushing up the difficulty is the legendary Royal St. Georges. It has hosted the Open Championship 13 times and will present a challenge to even the most seasoned golfer. Opened all the way back in 1914, this is standard links at its incredibly very best with the wind playing a main component in the design (and your scorecard!).Maintain the ball low, steer clear of the treacherous bunkers and maintain out of the rough and you’ll put a decent score together. Get greedy and try to “fly the trouble” and the score we’ll beat you just as it has beaten the greatest players in the world…Over and over once more. And if you’ve torn up your card, just take pleasure in the Kentish coast views and the charming and history-laden clubhouse. Royal St Georges is really significantly an English rose!Greatest of the South: SunningdaleSunningdale gets into the list quickly – not just for its top quality, but for its quantity too. Both courses at the club (‘Old’ and ‘New’) offer a splendid round of golf and two quite different designs. The New Course encourages aggressive driving but requirements accuracy, although the Old Course’s heavily bunkered fairways indicates that a far more strategic golfing mind will come to the fore. For a 36 hole day, with the excellent clubhouse roasted lunch in between, Sunningdale is really, extremely memorable and is quite significantly part of the package that attracts men and women to golf holidays in England.Ideal of the South West:Finally, heading down to the south west, we have one of England’s finest inland courses: Bovey Castle’s Old Course. Recently redesigned (along with the completely renovated luxury hotel), it’s not simple by any indicates and significantly respect has been paid to the original Abercrombie design, laid out over 80 years ago. Modest greens, tree-lined fairways and meandering streams rivers (plus any of the fine wines in the hotel restaurant!) provide plenty of challenge but it’s not too lengthy and extremely, quite pretty so you must post a respectable score on a UK golf break here…The five courses above could be joined by yet another 50 so prior to you go looking abroad for your golf holiday, try England.

PostHeaderIcon The Effect Of Alcohol Upon Your Golf

How long is a piece of string? I have a friend who plays off a handicap of five and swears by two and three quarter pints at lunchtime whenever he’s in a 36 hole competition – and generally shoots a sub-par round when adhering to this regime. I’m not sure how it would affect my game, but doubt it would create such a positive result.

What happens to your golf when you’ve been out and had a bit (or a lot) too much the night before? I remember dropping off someone one morning for a Sunday round at 8am and seeing another gentleman attempting to step out of the passenger seat of the car, wobbling a bit, and nearly falling into the trunk as he tried to lift out his clubs. I later discovered he only lasted half the round before having to walk in. What a shame to ruin what should be a nice relaxing morning playing golf with your mates simply because of drinking to such an excess you no longer know your own name. We have all seen similar spectacles I’m sure.

How does alcohol affect your golf? The answer is that it depends on the person. Are you the sort of person who gets happy, relaxed and comfortable when drinking? Or are you the type of person who gets morose? Or angry? We are all unique and individual and you play golf from the platform of you, the person. Most people find that one or two drinks will relax them, and more will have a rather different effect.

If you are the type of person who is so laid back that you are almost horizontal, to have a couple of drinks and relax further will probably mean that you will lose your focus, lose your attention and your golf will suffer. If, on the other hand, you are a slightly anxious person, one or two drinks are likely to relax you and rub off the edge of anxiety and allow you to focus clearly and pay attention to the task in hand; hence your golf will benefit.

To play your best golf an optimum level of arousal is required. If you are too relaxed, attention and focus will fade, and if you are too aroused your logical, thinking part of the brain is bypassed and your ability to make good strategy decisions will be temporarily put on hold. Over-arousal in effect makes you “stupid” – you cannot think straight; you cannot think logically and clearly.

It is a known and proven fact that when you get angry or when you get over aroused, this clouds your judgment and makes you more likely to react with only your lower brain functions – it denies access to higher brain functions – it inhibits the cortical regions of the brain, and so problem solving is hampered, reaction speeds and co-ordination are impaired, and you cannot think as clearly. Thus decisions are less effective, listening skills are impaired, and creativity is obstructed. Not the best recipe for good golf.

Any exaggerated emotional state (which of course alcohol induces) is accompanied by physiological and biological changes – your heart rate increases, blood pressure rises, adrenaline is secreted at a greater level. Not very helpful when you are trying to play a game which requires a state of relaxed concentration in order to be able to put your best swing on the golf ball.

And if that isn’t enough your ability to learn is also affected by exaggerated emotional states. Our emotional state is critical to what we learn and how well we recall and apply what we have learned. The amygdale in the emotional brain can hijack the intellectual processes when over-arousal is experienced.

Effectively, too much alcohol can trigger hormones which induce tension and anxiety, bad decisions, unclear planning, jerky movements, and rushed tempo; you simply cannot think clearly. And everything in life starts with a thought, including your golf. You have to think clearly, make good strategy decisions, you have to be creative and see the shot you plan to make; and after you have made these decisions you need to execute the planned shot, which requires relaxed muscles, good hand-eye co-ordination, and good co-ordination in general and, of course, good balance and a feeling of groundedness.

What are the chances of this combination of requirements when you have been on a bender the night before? The outcome will vary from one person to another. Some people find that their golf improves with alcohol, their co-ordination is better, their focus clearer and the result far more pleasing – their slice miraculously disappears and they sink every putt; This may be due to the fact that they simply don’t care, that they feel so ill and hung over they want to get every shot out of the way as quickly as possible so that they can go home and nurse their sore head on the sofa (or get into the 19th and have a hair of the dog!). If you are the sort of person who thinks and worries too much about their golf, alcohol may have this effect on you – making you “get out of your own way” and just hit the ball.

If, on the other hand, you are generally a calm, focused and positive thinking golfer, alcohol will hi-jack your logical thought process and reduce your ability to make good shot choices whilst on the course.

In summary, alcohol consumption will affect each person’s golf in a different way from the mental perspective. For some, it will help (in small quantities), whilst for others it will inhibit. In large quantities, very few people are positively affected. From a physical, mechanical perspective, lack of co-ordination and a problem with balance are never going to help anyone’s game of golf!

Best to save the alcohol for the 19th, unless you know yourself well enough to be sure that it will have a positive effect.

The 16 Motors of the Golf Swing Part 2 – Hitting Power

We all want more power and more distance in our golf swing. And very fortunately, there are several options for creating power. If one does not feel good or suit your body type, there are still many more that can be used.
This report is about hitting.
Hitting, as contrasted to swinging, is when the player accelerates the clubhead by PUSHING ON THE SIDE OF THE GOLF CLUB. Technically, this is called a radial acceleration” of the club meaning the right elbow and right wrist are pressing against the side of the club (radius) to achieve club head speed. This is hitting like with a hockey stick or tennis racket.

In hitting, the right elbow, right wrist, and right shoulder all play very critical roles.
The right elbow – How is power created? How is it used? When the right elbow is bent, energy is stored. This is the potential energy to open the elbow and move the forearm forward. This is the same action as a piston cylinder on an old steam locomotive or the piston action in a car engine. It is the action of a hockey player standing still on the ice and shooting the puck. It is a hard forward push on the club coming from the right elbow.
(As an aside, this is also probably why we take a stand to the ball with our left shoulder to the target. This stand allows us to use our dominant right arm and right elbow with the best angle to hit the ball, like in tennis with the forehand swing.)
The right wrist – The right wrist keeps pushing on the club during the milliseconds while the clubface is compressing and deforming the golf ball. The right wrist helps to resist the slowing down of the clubhead during impact. To keep it short, by resisting the clubhead tendency to slow down throught the hitting zone, a player can gain up to 30% more clubhead speed WITH THE SAME INITIAL CONDITIONS. So this is not trivial. Also, to be clear, this is NOT flipping the right wrist at impact. It is a passive but strong resistance to the slowing down of the club.
(Resistance to deceleration of the clubhead through impact will be discussed in more detail in the report – Swinging from your feet.)
Aha!!!!
The right shoulder – We know that better players rotate the right shoulder very nicely down the plane and down the target line. Yes, that has been said and observed thousands of times.
But WHY?
The right shoulder performs two functions – one is putting body mass behind the piston movement of the right elbow. So connecting the body weight into the right elbow with put enormous more momentum into the contact with the ball and transfer more energy to the ball. It is like being hit by a bicycle or a 10-ton truck both moving at the same speed. Which is going to do more damage and transfer more energy?
Obviously, the 10-ton truck. So get your body weight better connected and behind the right elbow for more power. OK – that is easy to understand. But the second function of the right shoulder is more subtile. Imagine a dog leash. The dog is free to move for a certain distance. But when is gets to the end of the leash, it is suddenly stopped. The rigth shoulder is similar. IF the right shoulder moves down the swing plane and down the target line, the right elbow can stay bent with all of its power for a very late hit.
That is the dog leash is still loose enough to allow the right elbow to explode into the ball. However, if the right shoulder turns on a plane flatter than the swing plane, the right elbow will start opening up – that is loosing power – before it is even near the ball. The right elbow is leaking power” because the unconscious minds says You must hit the ball!” and the only way to hit the ball with a shoulder rotating more flat that the swing plane is by opening up the right elbow. The right elbow cannot explode into the ball because it is already opened up and can move only a short distance before it is at the end of its leash.” Dont believe what I am writing here.
Try it yourself.
Do it now – even without a club in your hand. Am I right or not? And now you know why rotating the right shoulder down the swing plane allows a golfer to keep the power stored in the right elbow until the last possible second before impact.

PostHeaderIcon The 16 Motors of the Golf Swing Part 1 -

The 16 Motors of the Golf Swing Part 1 – Harry Vardons Secret

Harry Vardon is one of the greatest golfers of all time. 6 time British Open Champion, Vardon (Overlapping Grip), debut of the vertical swing, etc. etc. etc.
BUT there is something that is still a very very well kept secret that almost no one understands. The secret to his DISTANCE.
Harry was considered a long ball hitter of his day but also a weakling. He suffered from tuberculosis and had repeated attacks.
In fact, he had to cancel a promotional tournament tour in America sponsoring the newest golf ball from Dunlop due to a bout of tuberculosis, which also forced him to cancel his ticket on the Titanic!
So how could he be a long hitter and suffer from tuberculosis at the same time? The answer is in his bent left elbow.
Yes, I know your Pro has told you many times to keep a straight left elbow. And that is the classic thinking even today.
But is a difference between the problem the Pros are trying to prevent and what Vardon did. Many amateurs will over-swing at the top and let their left elbow bend.
On the start down, they will again straighten out the elbow causing extra movement and swing plane variations. What Vardon did was something else. He HELD the bent left elbow until just before impact with the ball.
John Jacobs, in his book – The 50 Greatest Golf Lessons of the Century (HarperAcademic), described Vardons swing LIKE THROWING A FRISBEE!!
Theodore Jorgensen in his book – The Physics of Golf – devotes 1 separate chapter to Vardons swing and comes to the conclusion that by using his left elbow as an additional hinge a power increase of up to 50% is theoretically possible.
Another description of Vardons bent left elbow is that he made his left arm into a whip with an additional bending point in it. And then threw his left arm down the target line similar to an athlete throwing a discus but in a more vertical plane. How can you try this out?
Think – throw the Frisbee down the target line.
Keep your left elbow bent on the way down to the ball and unfurl it, like throwing a discus, down thru the ball.

PostHeaderIcon Taylor Made Golf Club The Metalwoods Technology Phenomenon

Taylor Made golf clubs are into leading the combined driver, iron counts and fairway wood at PGA tournaments. The advancement of the metal wood technology employed by Taylor Made golf clubs make it possible to each player to have a his own club. This metalwood technology created famous clubs in the form of Pittsburgh Persimmon, Tour Preferred, Burner, and Burner Bubble, each is considered a high performance piece of device. With titanium clubheads, Taylor Made clubs are very strong but extremely light to use.

Taylor Mades metalwood golf clubs boast of the following models with features that surely makes each golf club a hit to golfers:

R7 Fairway Woods is the Taylor Made golf club, which is with Taylor Made Launch Control (TLC) Port. TLC cartridges can be installed and removed to permit users in changing the CG location to vary the degrees of draws and fades that will consequently promote more accuracy and distance.

R5 Titanium Fairway is another Taylor Made golf club that has a titanium clubhead that is very easy to hit. It has permanent TLC cartridges that facilitate the launching of the ball high, long and straight for the players who would rather not change cartridges.

V Steel Fairway Woods claims its having the ultimate combination of power, accuracy and versatility. It is the Taylor Made golf club that attributes its excellence to its V-shaped sole that improves the force of how the sole interacts with the turf at impact.

Rescue Dual is a Taylor Made club that has double TLC ports that are widely spaced for increased forgiveness on incurring mis-hits. It has a new T-shaped sole that is responsible for the increased clubhead stability and decreased drag at impact that in turn promotes better accuracy and distance. With its low center of gravity (CG), its a lot easier to launch than a long-iron and this makes shots higher and longer.

Rescue Dual TP, with dual TLC port and Taylor Mades movable weight technology,is best known to promote the variation of degrees of draw and fade. Further off, it makes for greater forgiveness. The difference between Rescue Dual and Rescue Dual TP is that TP has a higher center of gravity (CG) position that allows a lower, piercing ball flight that many experienced golf players find easier to manipulate.

Rescue Mid is said to be Taylor Mades breakthrough utility club that is engineered to be easier to use than a long-iron while displaying prowess in providing better distance. This golf clubs excellent performance is from its way of uniting a high flash of inertia with a lower, deeper center of gravity. This creates maximum forgiveness on mishits, high launch angle and high spin for high, long shots that quickly stops.

Rescue Fairway is the Taylor Made golf club that indulges in its having a low profile that is responsible for its low and deep center of gravity (CG). It is made to smooth the progress of hitting the ball high, long and straight. This golf club is crafted with double sole that improves playability from a variety of lies. Taylor Made engineered it to launch a high angle with high spin for long-carrying shots that surely impress each player.

PostHeaderIcon Taking Golf Swing Lessons Will Improve Your Game

Practice, practice and more practice might help but even consistent and constant attendance at the range may not significantly lower golf score. Rarely is a game improved greatly through just playing. Adding taking golf swing lessons with those many trips to the driving range – along with applying what is learned out on the course – may be the correct method toward not only driving that handicap lower, but your score as well.

Practice Provides Self-Assessment Without Remedy

Although practice is essential toward improving any activity undertaken, constant trips to the driving range may help discover weaknesses through self-assessment. However, once areas of weakness are identified, who comes up with a fix – with a remedy? Many golfers can determine something is definitely wrong with a golf swing that pushes the ball to the left, but what is the method needed to employ for correcting it? It is time to get that remedy by taking golf swing lessons from a qualified professional. These teachers of the swing have participated in all the required certification processes that include the study of all areas of golf including how to manage a course when out playing. Furthermore, a great deal of a golf pro’s education is about how to help other people improve their game by taking golf swing lessons. Additionally, all teaching pros participate in ongoing education to stay current and keep their credentials up-to-date.

Spending Quality Swing Time

Most golf swing lessons are typically an hour long. They can take place at a driving range or, perhaps, out on the course where instruction is held under real playing conditions. Today, many successful – and sought-after teaching pros – use computer technology for swing analysis. This does not mean that the traditional one-on-one teaching technique is not still effective. However, many instructors are now putting to use computer-based video technology for reviewing and analyzing a student’s swing. Filming a student’s swing allows the instructor to point out areas to improve where the visual impact can be used for correction. Additionally, one area where a golf pro will help is the mental game. Although a golf swing is a physical activity, much of it is also mental.

Choose a PGA Certified Instructor or School

The Professional Golf Association certifies teaching professionals and schools throughout the country. Contacting the PGA can help individuals find an instructor and /or school that can suit personal needs. Prices for golf swing lessons will vary based upon a number of factors such as beginner, intermediate or advanced experience of the student. Even professional golfers have their own swing gurus helping hone or correct aspects about their swing to improve the game to a winning way.

A serious golfer can also blend a vacation with school attendance since a popular way for taking the golf swing lessons is to purchase a package at a luxury golf resort. Taking golf swing lessons will help any individual get a great deal more satisfaction improving their game.

PostHeaderIcon Take Advantage of Golf Fitness Training

Leaders in the data capture on the biomechanics of the golf swing in recent years have been the Titleist Performance Institute headed by Dr. Greg Rose, Advanced Motion Measurements directed by Dr. Phil Cheetham, and the American Sports Medicine Institute founded by Dr. James Andrews. The execution of the golf swing requires the golfer to draw the club through a large range of motion. In order to perform this efficiently and effectively, certain levels of flexibility are required. If the golfer is lacking the flexibility to execute the golf swing correctly, compensations in the biomechanics of the swing will occur.Next, the trainer will assess the balancing ability of the golfer. For instance, if the golfer is unable to stand on one leg for 60 seconds, there will be balance issues in their golf swing.Lastly, the therapist or trainer will gauge the golfer’s overall strength and coordination. The golf swing is a complex athletic move, so if the golfer is deficient in these areas, it will be virtually impossible for them to make a good, balanced golf swing. There is no doubt that even a golfer in peak physical condition can improve his or her game by spending time working out with a golf fitness training program. Such a program typically involves strength training for both the upper and lower body as well as cardio exercises, too. Take time to read some golf training reviews on the various DVDs, books, courses and more available to help improve your fitness level as a golfer.Walking the course also gives you time to reflect on the shot you have just played and what you did wrong if it was bad. What to do next time you have that shot to play. You also have more time to think of your next shot – size it up and be clear in your mind what might be needed before you get to your ball. The great golf players always walk the course when they play. For those of you who want to achieve even better performance, more specialized golf fitness programs are a must. These programs go beyond generic fitness exercises to specially tone and strengthen the muscle groups you need to use for your drives and backswings. A good program will not only train up the power of your hits, but also your control and precision. It will help to minimize your slice, which is a problem almost every golfer struggles with. Ultimately, you get more distance and better accuracy. No more ball in the water hazard or sand trap ever again. Are you flexible? Or more technically, do you have appropriate muscle length in multiple planar movements that make up the golf swing? If you are not working at it, you might be surprised at how little flexibility you actually have. The classic singular planar static stretches (20+ seconds long held in one position) are not the primary flexibility exercises golfers should necessarily use when trying to improve their golf specific flexibility. The golf swing moves in multiple planes all at the same time with the transverse (rotational) plane dominating throughout. Golfers should therefore work to improve transverse plane mobility with exercises. The stiffness of our tissues is increasing with our age, so our flexibility is diminishing with each passing year. We are, however, able to maintain or even reverse our decreasing flexibility with consistent and proper stretching techniques. The first is synchronisation (coordination as we know it but it doesn’t begin with S). You may have the strength but if your muscles are not firing at the right time, their strength will work against you. You’ll require more effort to work against the muscles firing at the wrong time which not only prevents free-flowing action but also increases your chances of injury.
